Comparative analysis of ENSO influence in classical and hybrid quantum epidemiological models for COVID-19 contagion analysis in Venezuela
This study examines new classical and hybrid quantum epidemiological models to assess the complexities of COVID-19 spread in Venezuela, with a focus on the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). The study proceeds in two parts. The first serves as a classical SEIRSV model adjusted for seasonality, while the second implements a variational quantum ansatz (VQA) method. The study finds that the ENSO affects the quantum model at 3.1739, demonstrating a positive association lagged five weeks. The classical model illustrates an initial negative association at lag 1.
